Korean Film Fest

The Korean Film Fest, now in its fourth year opens today! If you like Korean movies, head now to SM Megamall admission is FREE but it’s on first come, first served basis. You can check the schedule of the movies shown in the picture posted above, so you will know what time will you be there and what of the seven contemporary Korean films you would like to watch.


Here is the list of the movie title and its synopsis to help you decide what movie would you like to catch;


Spellbound - an unusual mix of horror and romance. It tells the story of road magician Jo-Goo ang Yu-Ri. Yu-Ri is haunted by ghosts, and Jo-Goo, who falls in love with her, has to rise above his fears to save the two of them.

Bunt - deals with mentally challenged water peddler Dong-Ku who suddenly finds himself irrelevant upon the arrival of water purifiers. In an attempt to use his only capability, Dong-Ku joins the baseball team.

Arahan – is the story of an honest yet clumsy rookie policeman Sang-Hwan and the martial arts specialist Eui- Jin. Together they fight the evil Heuk-Woon.

Highway Star – is a musical comedy that tells the story of Dal-Ho who wants to become a rock singer, but is forced to play trot to make ends meet.

Late Blossom – is a heartwarming film on two couples and their struggles.

The Taoist Wizard - tells the story of the Jeon Woo Chi a playful magician who gets imprisoned in a scroll, having been wrongly accused for murder. he gets freed 500 years later to bring back order in the world.

A Barefoot Dream- sports drama about the misadventures of a former soccer prospect who tries to join the International Youth Soccer Championship. 


The Korean Festival will run from Sept. 18-Oct. 7 in SM Cinema. SM Megamall will have the Manila leg on Sept. 18-22.SM City Baguio will host the festival on Sept. 26-30. SM City Cebu will later host the Visayan leg on Oct. 3-7.
