The Hunger Games

Deep in the meadow, under the willow
A bed of grass, a soft green pillow
lay down your head, and close your sleepy eyes
And when again they open, the sun will rise.

Here it's safe,here it's warm
Here the daisies guard you from harm
Here your dreams are sweet and tomorrow brings
   them true
Here is the place where I love you.

I think her face captures the character of Katniss Everdeen.

They say the actress that portrayed her in the movie didn’t give justice to the character of Katniss in the book. I didn’t watch the movie so I don’t know about that. Just that now I’m looking for a way to watch the movie.

I just finished the whole series, and my eyes are swollen for crying buckets! (nothing’s new bout that, cause I’m such a crybaby) but I do love the book. I love how Suzanne Collins makes the characters “humanly humane” and I’m not just taking about Katniss at all. It’s the first book that makes me focus more on the other characters. Those supporting characters makes the whole story comes alive.

And the senseless war, that uses the media to manipulate the sympathy of the populace. That’s an arrow that hit not so far from home.
